Duško Marković (born 6 July 1958) is a Montenegrin politician who has served as the Prime Minister of Montenegro since 2016. He has been a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) since the early 1990s and has held various party and governmental positions. Marković was also a member of the Parliament of Montenegro, serving as its president from 1998 to 2001 and then as the deputy prime minister and minister of justice from 2000 to 2003. He became the prime minister of Montenegro in November 2016 after his predecessor, Milo Đukanović, stepped down. Under Marković's leadership, Montenegro has continued to pursue its goal of joining the European Union and NATO. However, his government has faced criticism from opposition parties and civil society groups over corruption allegations and restrictions on media freedom.
